Feeding for Hungry Children

What’s the problem?
Hunger is the No. 1 health risk in the world — killing more people every year than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. Hunger and malnutrition are intrinsically linked to poverty.
Education is a key component to breaking the poverty cycle. Although great progress has been made in recent years to ensure more children are able to access education, accessibility is not always enough.
Worldwide around 66 million primary school-age children are attending classes without enough food. Approximately 23 million of these children are in Africa alone.
Children are left with crippling hunger and have little choice but to skip classes trying to find food. Those that battle through hunger and stay in class, struggle to focus and perform.
While finding food and safe water is the absolute priority, the WHO has stated that ensuring a strong health emergency response is needed to avert preventable disease and deaths. The UN agency is calling for $123.7 million to respond to rising health needs and prevent a food crisis from turning into a health crisis. “The situation is already catastrophic, and we need to act now,” said Ibrahima Soce Fall, WHO Assistant Director General for Emergencies Response. “We cannot continue in this under-funding crisis”……..
How can we solve and end hunger in Kenya and Horn of Africa?

These valuable funds goes towards our feed a child food bank program and to our physical identified meaningful projects in the marginalized and poor community we serve. Prophet Reward Foundation (PRF) creates conditions for women to grow more food, feed more people, share knowledge with others locally and internationally for donation support, disaster response, and volunteerism. Setting up “Community Points” in each county of our country to collect every environmental project report and other daily social living problems based on their areas and regional differences. We urge all ecosystem stakeholders to donate to and fund this global round-year impact project for all in climate change. Kenya has 47 counties, so there should be “47 Community Points” led by 47 PRF delegated county coordinators.The PRF county coordinators together with other local and international volunteers voluntary works to our initiative groups which we physical identify and register them for free to become our beneficiary meaningful projects.

- Donate to our initiative program (Feed a Child Food Bank) campaign to end hunger in Kenya and the Horn of Africa by helping to supply emergency food there.
- Donate to support efforts to establish better community nutrition and hygiene standards and to fight hunger.
- We establish hand washing stations in communities and at homes, teach people about good hygiene practices, and disseminate information about good hygiene practices through roadshows and community mobilization activities in order to stop the spread of diseases and reduce malnutrition.
- In order to assist communities recover from disasters, Pledge to end hunger gives vulnerable families cash so they may purchase essentials like food, medicine, and school supplies.

The Horn of Africa, a region encompassing Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia, is facing the most prolonged drought since late 2020. It has caused acute food insecurity conditions for 18.6 million people, acute malnutrition for 3.2 million children and pregnant and lactating women, and water sources to dry up or diminish in quality. USAID Administrator Samantha Power announced nearly $1.2 billion in additional humanitarian funding for the drought response. This funding will support emergency food assistance, nutrition support, agricultural support, and WASH interventions.
The Prophet Reward Foundation is engaging international grantmakers to create a Disaster Response and Resiliency Network to bring efforts together in a cohesive group to share with donors for disaster response relief efforts. As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to unfold in different ways, there is a dire need to step up humanitarian support to the most vulnerable people in the community. Through your help, we have reached over 1,000 families supplying them with survival food packs. Millions of Kenyans are facing numerous challenges due to the impact of Covid-19, and many residents in the slums where we operate are unemployed or depend on daily casual work. To help, donations of dry foods like rice, cereals, maize flour, porridge flour, cooking oil, soap, face masks, etc. can be sent to our mobilizing food bank for distribution to the needy families in our community.
