The Prophet Reward Foundation (PRF) Community Peace Museum serves as a vital research and cultural center aimed at educating students, scholars, and international volunteers on the historical and contemporary dynamics affecting Nairobi, particularly focusing on slum areas and tribal conflicts. Our mission is to foster peace through understanding, cultural exchange, and social engagement while promoting local heritage and artistic expression.
Our Main Objectives Being On;
- Research and Education: Facilitate a community academic research and provide educational resources for surroundings university students from institutions such as Nairobi University, Kenyatta University, United States International University (USIU), Mt. Kenya University, Methodist University, Kiriri Women’s University, and St. Paul’s University and our entire local community trainings in volunteerisms and internship programs.
2. Cultural Preservation: Document and preserve the history of diverse Kenyan tribes through curated exhibits and oral histories that highlight their migration patterns, cultural practices, and the socio-political factors contributing to tribal conflicts which are not given and known to community to bring peace.
3. Community Integration: Establish a sanctuary for the arts that nurtures talent in theatre, visual arts, and media, promoting digital literacy and cultural heritage among youths implementing the space digital institutes in our slums like already innovated Lady Rocket Space education and other talent exhibition for the benefit of the talented artists in the slums and our streets community.
4. Sustainable Tourism: Develop managed tourism initiatives that can create jobs, protect local heritage sites, and allow visitors to engage with the community positively. We need more external support for investment partners and financial support in tourism sector to enable it sustain to benefit the community and our economical development.
5. Volunteer Engagement: Design impactful volunteering opportunities that align with community needs, fostering cross-cultural connections and personal growth among participants.Challenges Addressed
The PRF Community Peace Museum recognizes several challenges in attracting attention and sustaining visitor interest:-Inaccessible and Unrecorded Sites: Many culturally significant locations lack documentation and public accessibility.
– Vandalism and Lack of Protection: Historical artifacts and sites face threats from neglect and vandalism.
– Uncontrolled Tourism: The increase in tourists without proper management disrupts local communities and their environments.To address these issues, we propose a comprehensive plan for research, preservation, and sustainable tourism that honors local heritage while providing economic benefits.
Humanitarian Tourism Program
Our PRF-Beyond Borders Community Trust Volunteers (PRF-BBCTV) initiative offers various volunteer placements designed to meet community needs and participant interests. Key offerings include:

Community Tourism Development
Our tour programs highlight Kenya’s natural beauty and rich diversity. We offer:

Community Volunteer Requirements
We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds, with no specific qualifications necessary except for English proficiency. Participants must be at least 18 years old to volunteer independently; families and groups are strongly encouraged to join.
